How to Play: The JoJodle

Find the secret JoJo character of the day in 9 guesses or less!

Each guess compares your character to the secret one based on the following properties:

  • User: The name of the character who controls the Stand.
  • Stand: The name of the Stand used by the character (e.g., Star Platinum).
  • Gender: The character's gender identity.
    Possible values: Male, Female, and Unknown.
  • Ability: A list of what the Stand can do (e.g., Vehicle Possession).
  • Type: Defines how the Stand operates in combat or in the world.
    Possible values: Close Range, Long Range, Range Irrelevant, Materialized, Automatic, Psychological Assault, Sentient, Phenomenon, Colony, Foresight.
  • Side: Indicates if the character is a protagonist or antagonist.
    Possible values: Ally, Enemy.
  • Affiliation: The group or organization the character belongs to (e.g., Agents of DIO).
  • Part: The story arc the character appears in.
    Possible values: Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, Part 5: Golden Wind, Part 6: Stone Ocean.

Color Hints:

  • Green: Exact match.
  • Orange: Partial match, at least 1 similar element.
  • Red: No match.

User / Stand: If the name of the User or the Stand is orange, it means that character appears in one of the secret character's affiliations.

Abilities: When an ability is orange and underlined, it means at least one word from it appears in one of the secret character's abilities.

Search bar: You can click the User or Stand button in the search bar to switch between the two search modes.

Hint: After 8 guesses, you'll receive a free clue that reveals one ability from the secret character.

Rewards: When logged in, earn XP based on how fast you win:

  • 1 guess → +80 XP
  • 2 guesses → +75 XP
  • 3 guesses → +65 XP
  • 4–5 guesses → +50 XP
  • 6–7 guesses → +35 XP
  • 8–9 guesses → +20 XP
  • 10+ guesses → +10 XP (LOSE)

Winning also unlocks the avatar(s) of the secret Stand User!

Note: Connected users try to guess the secret character of the current day, while disconnected users get the one from the previous day.

Hardmode: Each day, a special hardmode modifier is randomly selected. If you're logged in and at least level 5, you can enable it for an extra challenge and reward, but only before your first guess.

You guess Diavolo and the secret character is DIO.

Example Diavolo

Let's break down the comparison:

  • Green:Gender and Side are exact matches: both are Male and Enemy.
  • Orange:For Ability: Time Erasure is underlined, which means at least one word of it appears in one of the secret character's abilities, here it's Time. Precognition isn't underlined so it doesn't appear in the secret character's abilities.For Type: Diavolo's Stand is Close Range, Psychological Assault, and Foresight. The orange color means that at least one of these types is also present in the secret character's Stand. It works the same for Affiliation.
  • Red:Affiliation and Part are completely different. The down arrow behind Golden Wind means that the correct answer belongs to an earlier part in the timeline (before Part 5).

Close-Range

Stands that stay near their user but may still affect targets from a distance.

Long-Range

Stands that can operate far from their user or travel long distances to attack directly.

e.g. Hierophant Green, Sex Pistols

Range Irrelevant

Unaffected by distance or state from the user. It can be integrated within them.

e.g. Notorious B.I.G

Materialized

Attaches to material objects and essentially becomes said object which can be seen by even non-Stand users.

e.g. Thoth

Automatic

Acts without direct input from the user.

e.g. Sheer Heart Attack

Psychological Assault

Affects the target’s mind, emotions, or perception.

e.g. Echoes

Sentient

Possesses its own personality and decision-making.

e.g. Spice Girl

Phenomenon

Stands defined primarily by their effect rather than their physical form or combat style.

e.g. Rolling Stones

Colony

Composed of multiple smaller units acting as one Stand.

e.g. Sex Pistols

Reconnaissance

Stands with abilities that help the user gather or detect information (tracking, sensing, surveillance).

e.g. Moody Blues

Foresight

Involves predicting or foreseeing future outcomes.

e.g. King Crimson
